Who makes the juiciest fast food burger?
I have found there is a trend towards dryer burgers.
Five guys for instance puts lots of condiments on to make the burger seem juicy but the patty itself is bone dry.

>> No.4240324

The absolute best fast food burger is from a place called Braum's in Oklahoma. I think they have some locations in surrounding states, but they top Five Guys, In and Out, and every other place I've ever been to.

It always seems odd to me that people mention In and Out and Five Guys in the same breath.
They are so different. People that like dry burgers will always prefer Five Guys.

They're the two "hurr best burgers ever" chains (grossly incorrect, by the way), so they're generally clumped together.

As far as the big national chains go, is there a juicier burger than a quarter pounder?

Really? I had one in denver that was bone dry, I ran a thread about it here and the consensus was that Five Guys style was to squeeze all the juice out of the burger and cook it extra well done.

Yeah. The foil keeps them moist. They lose fat because they are thin but still retain lots of moisture because they cook quickly.

But its the fat that makes a juicy burger...

Five Guys always cooks their burgers well done. You cannot even bribe them to do medium, let alone rare. I love Five Guys, though, so I can only imagine how good it'd be...

rare burgers are gross. the fat doesn't have an opportunity to melt, and it has a nightmarish texture and half cooked taste. eat a proper tartare if you want something raw, otherwise cook your food like a human being and not like some kind of ignorant twat who thinks that a burger is a steak.

Of course you can't bribe them to cook it medium or rare, they'd get sued to quick for all the people getting sick there. Or rather someone would sue them the moment they spot pink and realizes it's against fda regulations or something to serve someone rare ground beef.

Do you think e coli is a normal thing to find in hamburger? I bet you are too much of a pussy to eat raw eggs as well.

There are many types of food poisoning that you can get. I do not doubt that you sick.
Food poisoning is a real problem in the world.
Food poisoning from e coli is not.

You are not changing your odds one iota by cutting raw hamburger out of your diet.

medium and rare are perfectly safe for a ground beef burger, provided you grind the beef yourself and ensure that everything is clean.

trusting the supermarket butcher or god forbid a fast food employee is just retarded.

Raw eggs actually have a very low chance of having dangerous bacteria. The shells themselves have a higher chance but unless you're bad at cracking eggs, you shouldn't really have to worry about that. There's a reason restaurants have no problem serving eggs over easy .

You can harp on and on about how I'm too much of a pussy because I don't want to harm myself, but suit yourself. You act as eating raw ground beef will prove your manliness despite the facts of the matter is that it's really not that safe, especially in a fast food joint. It's not a steak, where mostly the outer sides just need to be cooked to be made safe, it's a mixed uniform of uniformly unsafe meat. If you want to eat it with some pink in it, suit yourself but you might as well just eat it completely raw by the same logic.

While the numbers may not be exact, from you perspective they are both extremely unlikely.
In America , if a group of people get sick from raw ground beef, it goes on the news and there is hell to pay.
Do you not understand what I am saying?

>> No.4242291

>>4242275
No, normally a slightly pink burger has had almost all of the pathogens killed, probably around 80-90 percent.

It takes a lot(like litterally millions) of bacteria to get you sick, as long as you don't take stuff for heartburn which acidifies your stomach or have a compromised immune system.

>> No.4242297

five guys uses fatty enough beef that it's still juicy, I love the one near me. they definitely use 80/20 or maybe even more fatty beef, who the fuck knows.

All I have gotten from them is dry burgers.
To be fair I find most fast food burgers very dry.The Quarter Pounder is the one of the few that seems to still be juicy.
