chickpea polenta with bitter chilies (they're not spicy at all, just bitter) stewed with garlic and tomatoes

butterleaf and cucumber ribbon salad with a vinaigrette of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic and mustard

cheesecake (like... a pound cake, but made of cheese, not the American cheesecake, which is also delicious, but a whole 'nother animal entirely) with homemade strawberry jam and homemade clotted cream with Neapolitan coffee service (not unlike Cuban coffee)

fruit and cheese course of plums, peaches and sweet lime with caws caerfili and bryndza

homebaked bread was offered throughout the meal
