I tried a bottle of my latest homebrew and it was good, but needs another week. Hopefully it will carbonate a bit more.

Typical CA.

I hope you're drinking with friends since you've opened the growler.

I'm not drinking anything but here're my favorites.

Nope. They're gonna bottle Melrose IPA soon, but it still probably won't make it outside of Long Beach and Seal Beach.

Was so close to picking up a bottle of Pappy 15 YO this year. A friend told me a local store had a bottle, and it was gone an hour later :(

Although what I really want is a fucking bottle of Stagg, but I've never seen that either. FUCK Buffalo Trace.

Unfortunately my two favorite alcohols have grown massively in popularity in the last few years. Now it's either who you know or sheer luck.

>>4199787
Sucks man. Just the way it is these days. I can't find any of the Antique Collection either.

Pic of my recently departed Pappy 20 bottle. I would buy it at $80 a bottle all fucking day.

Yeah unfortunately both Van Winkle bourbons and the Buffalo Trace antique collection have become extremely popular and it'll be years before their production has caught up to demand.

Also,
>$80 for Pappy 20
I am incredibly jelly, anon. Here in BC that bottle goes for about 250 bucks. The 23 is over 400 quite often.

I bought that bottle quite a while ago. Shortly after that the distributor started playing games and that bottle shop quit carrying Pappy. Damned if it isn't the best distilled alcohol I've ever tasted. I recently killed the bottle with some friends who I've poured Special Reserve for before. They were blown away. It's head and shoulders above what you can get in the $20-50/bottle range.

It was a good price when I got it and I got it years ago. If it's any consolation I doubt I'll be able to find it again at any price.
