fucking glorious Sriracha Garlic Hot Wings. stands up to any brew you can throw at it. fucking glorious. you will be the hero the day. everyone at your party wins!

oh, and have some mints on hand later, if you want your buds to get some sex that night from their gfs. (dat garlic)

>> No.4179360

Well, fuck the wings.
I usually make a shitton of hot wings for the Super Bowl, but I was hearing about how much their price has been jacked up because of the demand, so I'm going to say fuck it this year and do something else. I've got plenty more tricks up my sleeve.

If you would stop being a cheapass close minded prick for a second and try to be just a little creative; you might just realize that chicken drums are on sale for .69/lb and if you French them and cut off the end they would make excellent jumbo wings that everyone would love you for but I guess we'll just hate you instead.

Yeah, I've done that before, asshole. Gee, why not just go all the way and make buffalo turkey legs while your at it? I've "hot winged" all kinds of stuff before, but it's not the same as regular chicken wings, which are preferable for flavor, size, and consistency. Now, go be stupid somewhere else.

>>4179363
I think I'm going to pull the smoker out instead and smoke some stuff, probably a brisket and ribs, but I may do pulled pork too.
As far as "snacks" go, I usually make some dips. Last year, I made Hot Pizza Dip and Seven Layer Dip, but I'll probably mix it up this year. Although, people have already asked if I'm making the pizza dip again, so I probably will. Then, I also make caramel corn and oyster cracker snack mix for people to munch on.

It's the fucking Super Bowl. I'm not going to break out the china and crystal and pull out all expense for a bunch of 20+ friends who are going to be staring at the TV, screaming and jumping around, and drinking from a keg. That's not what the day is about. It's about football, funny commercials, and a party.
Have fun sitting around quietly watching the game, obsessing over your pretentious food while your friends wish they were watching it down at the pub.
I'll save my specialties for a smaller group of people at one of the many dinner parties we host.

Anyway, I'm thinking of making a pasta bar. Bake up some parmesan chicken and veal patties, have two or three different kinds of noodles to top them with, and then alfredo and marinara sauce to cover it with. Bake some French bread and toast it up with garlic butter... yum. Maybe some steamed brocolli and carrots as sides. What do you guys think?

My two very not classy superbowl recipes.

Chilli Dogs
3-4 cans of your favorite chilli/cheap gross "hotdog chilli" (I prefer the latter)
1 can campbell's condensed cheddar cheese soup
1-2 cans (4 oz cans) diced green chilies wit juice
2 packages of tasty dogs

Put dogs in bottom of crockpot. Mix other shit together, adding a little water if it seems super thick and pour over dogs. Cover and turn crock on low. Ready in two hours. Put on buns top with shreddly cheddar diced red onion and crushed tortilla chips/fritos (I prefer the former)

Buffalo Chicken Dip
3lbs Cream cheese
4 cups blue cheese dressing
4 cups FRANKS RED HOT
1.5 cups shredded cheddar
1.5 cups shredderly asiago
9 cups cooked diced chicken breasts

Bring cheese to room temp and begin to whip in a mixer. A hand mixer would prob work I've never tried. Whip the cheese with some of the dressing, adding till all corp-orated.
Do the same with the franks. Add the cheese and mix gently, the the chicken chunks. I usually take it off the mixer at this point and fold it with a spatula to avoid breaking up the chicken. Put into bowls and chill till whenever. To serve, microwave plastic wrapped bowls till good and hot 2-3 mins, then top with more asiago and broil till golden. Serve with warm chips and pita.

That Buffalo Chicken Dip sounds pretty good!
Here's a very "unclassy" dip recipe that's really easy to just throw together and yet always popular.

Beer Pretzel Dip

1 8 oz. package cream cheese
2 cups finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 packet dry ranch dressing mix
½ can beer
Mix together, and serve with pretzels.

>> No.4183236

>>4183195
Oh, and here's a really good dip for tortilla chips if you want something a little different than just salsa.

12 tomatillos
¼ cup cilantro (packed) or to taste
salt to taste
2 green chilies, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
4 avocados, peeled and diced
lime juice to taste
¼ to ½ cup sour cream, depending on how creamy you want the sauce

Boil the tomatillos until tender, and then grind in a food processor or blender with the cilantro, salt, chilies and onion. Mash the avocados well with the lime juice and then combine in a large bowl with the tomatillo mixture. Add sour cream to taste, depending on how creamy you'd like it. Let it sit for at least a few hours before serving, to let the flavors blend.
