I love bologna, always have. But I'm getting a little tired of same old sandwich, and I'm not really sure how to make it more interesting. Jazz it up, so to speak.

Any suggestions, /ck/?

Funny you posted this, because I'm about to go make one.

Cut the edges of the bologna so it stays flat. On low heat, cook it on both sides for about 10 minutes total. You want a nice, golden brown. Be careful not to burn it. Then put it on a hamburger bun with mustard, onion, and pickles.

>fry bologna
>toast bread
>layer bologna with cheddar cheese on toasted bread
>eat with a bloody mary to wash it down

Best hangover cure.

I like it on plain white bread with a slice of American cheese and microwaved in a paper towel for about a minute. Beware of lava hot cheese when biting.

I make mine croque-monsieur style - cheddar or American slice, mayo, yellow mustard, a little Italian seasoning and red pepper, toasted on buttermilk bread.

Fan-fucking-tastic.

My store started carrying unsliced bologna. It's under $10 and is probably a dozen packages worth of bologna if not more. I like thick bologna -- like an inch or more -- so I'm going to buy it.

bologna can be the basis for an excellent sandwich.

put it in a pan with hot sauce, garlic powder, and a bit of paul newman's oil and vinegar. low heat, with a lid.

bread: wheat or cracked wheat: mayo, sliced pickles, shredded lettuce, more paul newman's oil and vinegar.

once bologna is cooked, cover it with sharp cheddar cheese. low heat, with a lid. let the cheese melt.

assemble sandwich. experience total culinary joy.
