Hello /ck/

I want to start drinking tea, the same cup of coffee in the morning is really starting to wear on me, and i want to change it up a bit.

What are your favorite teas, and how do you like to drink them?

My favorite tea is the Turkish Tea.

Could you describe it? it's strength and flavor?

>> No.4101659

I like peppermint tea. I use 2 tea bags at a time, steeped between 5-10 minutes (I buy Stash brand), and put nothing extra in it.

I don't have a favorite but the tea must be the first harvest of the season.

I really like tea, even if it's not something I usually buy or make.

When I had a piston coffee maker, I used to empty pouches of black orange pekoe in it to let it brew and have a nice, strong extraction.

I'm not much of an amateur. I just enjoy the mild taste of black tea with a lump of sugar and a cloud of milk.

I've tried different flavored cream, and I've bought some of those ridiculously overpriced gourmet beans, they were never my thing. I just want to broaden my horizons a bit.

Try Teavanna or the Olive Shop. Both make pretty good teas, I'm partial to Body + Mind and Blueberry Bliss. Shit's expensive, but if you buy in bulk you get a discount, stuff is usually handpicked and smells amazing.

Fuck you man. JUST FUCK OFF. I get it, you hate excellent tea and are probably borderline racist. I GET IT.

Just because you can't handle the ancient excellent Turkish Tea doesn't mean you can denigrate it and fucking talk about it liek a godamn 5 year old i mean at least say something positive and constructive instead of fucking poo humor and not knowing what you are even discussing i bet you havent even tried Turkish Tea and just drink bag lipton shit and are embarassed to talk with the big boys about good tea

Get some loose leaf Formosa oolong. Don't be afraid to spend 20 bucks or so on a few oz of the stuff. It is worth it and will brew a lot of tea.

Spend as much as you can on the most expensive pu-erh available to you. Anything else is just inferior.

As someone born and raised in Brazil I like mate tea, As someone from japanese family I also enjoy green tea. Them I stayed in new Zealand and I would drink english tea with milk, something that I enjoyed pretty much too. What can I say? I love tea!

Oh, and I love mint tea too!

I like making blended teas on adagio and trying them out. If you like flavored teas, have some money to spare, and don't care about being a purist then I recommend doing that.

Teas can be very different from each other… black breakfast tea, Darjeeling tea, oolong tea, Japanese green tea, Chinese green tea and pu er taste almost nothing alike. Find a good brand/store and get a little of each if you can.

I usually like to drink strong black tea in the morning, green tea in the afternoon and oolong in the evening.

>how do you like to drink them?
If it's black breakfast tea, you may add milk or sugar to taste (I don't, but to each his own).
If it's Darjeeling, oolong or green tea, don't add anything. It would spoil it.
