....WHAT?

I would eat the hell out of that OP.

But then, I'm crazily into apples and crazily into cinnamon, and bread and butter pudding sounds really warming and hearty right now. Tell me you used brown sugar.

I used regular unrefined cane sugar for the pudding, but I mixed a little bit of brown sugar and molasses with the bread crumbs on top.

I love you.

Please cut it and show me the insides.

Oh my. That looks fantastic.

Could you possibly provide a recipe?

Cut it about half an hour ago, but here's a closeup anyway.

it's basically a slightly modified half-portion of the simplest recipe I could find

Crush a portion of a month-old baguette or other stale bread to fill the bottom of a small baking dish, then pour 1 tbsp melted butter over it

mix 2 eggs, 3/8-cup sugar, 1/2 cup milk, about 1/3 cup half-and-half, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

pour into dish and soak bread thoroughly

slice half an apple and place on top (though if I were doing this again, I'd do this step BEFORE pouring the mix.)

mix a small amount of crumbs from the remaining bread with a bit of milk, molasses, brown sugar, spread on top, sprinkle a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg

Bake for 40~45 minutes at approx. 350*F. (My oven is a little cool so I did it at 365)

Hope this helps, enjoy!

Willow, what are you doing? This isn't for you... You're a cat. Cats don't eat people food.

Woah. I wish I had an adorably tiny dish like that. Would be easier to bake in small portions for myself.
