Denny's a million times (I would say Norms the food is better but they don't serve alcohol WTF). Asside from the fact that they can't scramble a fucking egg to save their lives, the food at Denny's is consistently edible. As opposed to IHOP, every single time I have ever been to any ihop anywhere I've contemplated ending my life. The food is wretched and the music they play is deplorable. There's an ihop that's almost always good drunken mop up food in my city and it's always packed late on weekends and the service is great given that it's filled with drunk people.

Only been to Denny's once like 10 years ago so I don't really have much of an opinion about them.

It's like any chain restaurant, they're all run by and employee different people so the food's and service is going to be different.

My local IHOP has shit service and crotchety middle-aged waitresses who won't refill my damn water. That, and they fuck up with the food. I'm fairly certain my liver and onions shouldn't be sweet like candy, no matter what how much vidalia onion you use.

Denny's. I eat there regularly with my parents because they get a good discount (like buy 1 entree get another free.)

When I feel it gets old, me and my mom would sometimes go to IHOP, but their pancakes are terrible.

I'd prefer Huddle House given the choice though. I've only eaten there once, at midnight with friends after seeing Thor, but the food was pretty good.

The only IHOP I went to had horrific late-night service compared to Denny's, And I hate pancakes, seriously.

That said, Denny's is not very good either...but if you need a 24-hour joint for breakfasty-food, you can do worse (by going to IHOP).

What do they do? Over-easy with shaved black truffle? 99% of "local" breakfast joints don't do things any differently than the large places except, unless you count having much tinier menus.

I really like the crepes from IHOP. I used to get the german style but they don't do them anymore and that's really sad. Swedish is pretty good, though, I think, I just wish there were more per plate.

The coffee is pretty nice, too, I think. No gourmet brew by any means but it warms you up on a cool day for sure.
