Boxed wine is the cheapest.

However boxed wine will provide the most brutally painful hangovers due to all the nasty shit in the drink. Honestly if you just go up one class and buy a popular cheap session beer, or even a half decent bottle of wine you will feel much better for it.

I would rather go without booze than drink gutter tier boxed wine.

I basically made kilju following a ginger beer recipe from the 1800's. 5 lbs sugar, 1 1/2 lbs ginger and 4 limes. The recipe said to put it in a crock with a cloth over it so I used a bucket and a towel. Added some champagne yeast, and two weeks later it was done (7%) 4+ gallons. It is very drinkable after I back sweetened with xylitol, I'm sure stevia would be fine too.

When all said and done I was probably $7 into it. No headaches in the morning, but I didn't have more than 2 pints at a time.
