Tomato soup is the easiest fucking thing in the world to make, pleb. Fry onions and garlic, add tomatoes. Put shit in a blender. Add salt, pepper, basil, and smidge of your favourite hot spice or vinegar (anything from cayenne to sriracha to balsamic vinegar will do) to give it just the hint of an edge.

If you can't at least do that, you shouldn't ever go in a bloody kitchen.

OP, I like your style. My go-to when I am feeling poorly has always been cream of tomato soup (any really, but campbell's fits the bill beautifully) and a grilled cheese sandwich made with swiss and butter.
