Afternoon /ck/
I'm planning on making a pizza tonight using savory short pastry as the base,
I've seen flaky puff pastry used as a base before and am wondering if I can pull it off with short

Also toppings will include thigh chicken, sweet chilli, cheese, sun dried tomatoes, onion, capsicum, spinach and a dusting of pine nuts.

Any ideas?

Pretty much what would be the best method of using it as a pizza base, blind baking it first etc
Anything that will keep it from going soggy.
Also any other dinner ideas I could make with these ingredients

both the process and flavour combinations are just

anyway yes op, blind bake it if you don't want it go soggy, and use more liquid in the sauce than on a pizza to compensate for the reduction brought about by a necessarily longer cooking time

Hi guys
Here's how it turned out
I didn't blind bake it first as I have no baking beads or any large object to fit the inside of the square tray I was using

However, I baked it until the sides were nice and puffy/crispy then with a little maneuvering pulled it out of the tray but the baking paper and sat it in the oven straight on the rack to crisp up on the bottom

I would definitely blind bake next time however otherwise it was a success, the sun dried tomato made the flavor completely which made up for the lack of sauce I had at the time (used a bit of a clusterfuck of tomato, sweet chilli and HP sauce it have it a nice sweet and spicy taste)

Stuffed the crust even and with left over pastry rolled up cheese inside to make cheese sticks
Honestly if I'd used the entire pastry to make only cheese sticks I would have still been pretty happy, those were amazing
