I need to gain weight, about 4 pounds of it according to my doctor. Whenever I eat I always feel full way before I've eaten anywhere near an appropriate amount. (No, they've ran tests and there's no health issue causing this.)

What are some good mildly-filling, slightly fattening foods/meals that aren't poison processed junk? Google just leads me to diet sites that tell me the opposite of what I want to know.

Bacon, ice cream, peanut butter, chocolate. Is this seriously a question? Think of stuff thats "bad" for you, eat that.

>Hasn't had to seriously gain weight.

Two words for you OP: Liquid calories

Drink more dairy (2% milk is a good choice), as it is all around very good for you and can help you get calories in without feeling full. If you want to up the ante, these helped me gain weight when I needed to. You can find them at just about any drug / grocery store, and they taste pretty good too, like thicker chocolate milk.

Alright, that seems like a good fix. Been lactose-intolerant for a good year or so now so I'm forced to drink soy milk instead of the fatter kind, but a protein shake might do the trick

>>4022477
I'll try more potatoes too

Ice cream. If it works for junkies it'll work for you.

Chocolate soy milk has usually 150+ calories per serving, which is more than plain soy milk. This time of year Silk brand makes soy egg nog and chocolate peppermint drink that is loaded with calories. Rice milk tends to have more calories than soy.

Smoothies. Soy milk+ banana+ peanut butter+ sugar or honey. Definitley a lot of calories

Drink juice instead of water

Snack on nuts, or add nuts to your usual food.

Add more oil and cheese to your usual recipes.

Just drink a fucking glass of olive oil or some shit.. its 120 calories per freakin' tablespoon, a glass would be 1000+ calories right there. God dammit, how hard can it be, honestly? Sick of little babbies crying because they can't gain weight. all. you. have. to. do is eat MORE than your body BURNS. Not hard ffs.

I worked in the health sciences field for many years and I know a bunch of doctors, and it sound like nonsense that a doctor would send you off blindly to gain 4lbs.

I could see a shrink doing it as a placebo to help combat your self esteem issues; nah you're not too fat, you actually need to gain (and insignificant amount of) weight. A doctor... Nah. If you were anywhere near a threshhold weight that would affected be a 4lb change, it would be a serious issue and you would get specific instruction, or maybe even fed through a tube.

I don't know tho... I can't figure out the troll angle, so maybe some idiot did give you that advice, but maybe where you come from snake charmers are considered doctors.

Anywho, I have the same issue with meal sizes and its a complete pain in the butt. I'm a really big dude and fairly active, yet I eat a child-sized meal and I'm completely bloated and stuffed. As a workaround I just eat more meals per day. Inconvenient as hell, but it works.

Yeah, stick to oils and nuts. I could eat nuts forever.

You are full of shit OP.

> Been lactose-intolerant for a good year or so

Lactose intolerance isn't some disease you pick up from toilet seats and bath houses. You are either born with it, or you are not. There is no latency period or "onset" like betus.

I think you have chronic hypochondria, and probably a case of fatt butt disease.

Actually, you can develop lactose intolerance if you go for a long period without eating dairy and then try to come back to it.

Are you me? I love nuts. They taste like my childhood. So filling, so wholesome, sometimes I swallow them whole.

Lactose intolerance most commonly runs in families, and symptoms usually develop during the teen or adult years.

I got it in mid 20s- i thought it was from being an alcohol though.

Yeah, when I was 21 I turned into methanol, might have resulted in my current lactose intolerance.
