How is beer served in the United States? Do you have pints, or would I have to order a 500ml glass?

>> No.3987940

Some places have pints.
Some places use thick glass mugs and the volume will be stated on the menu. It's usually at least one pint, sometimes more in 1 mug.
Some places serve bottles, in which case the volume will depend on the brand.

>> No.3987943

usually pints some places like pluckers give you a big ass mug which is like 2 pints. Theres a pizza joint that i like that gives you big ass bottles of beer. Depends on where you go

I live in Iowa, pretty much dead-center of the boring midwestern USA for you eurofriends. a region commonly described as some kind of backward flyover hell hole.

The beer scene:
In addition to the normal macros we do have a few In state small breweries, but the most popular stuff is

>Bells
>Goose Island
>dogfish
>Stone
>Green Flash
>Founders
>Summit

plus the bigger "micros" that are totally national like
>Anchor Steam
>pointe
>New Belgium
>Boulavard
>ect.

Im a bit of a beerfag and we have so many beers available locally that i cant keep them straight. Even have a bar a few blocks away with 105 beers on tap, all American Craft, plus 150 more in bottles.

Point being, the whole "in Oregon and SoCal people drink some neat beers and everyone else in the USA drinks their sisters urine" perspective so common on the internet is a tad ignorant.
