I do not drink coffee. I can not stand the smell.

Having said that, I have the deepest respect for coffee drinkers and do my very best to serve amicably when they visit. Apparently I make fairly good coffee, despite not having a brewing pot.

It's because I am careful not to mistreat the coffeegrounds themselves. Like all cooking, you show respect to the ingredients and attention to preparation, and you get food of a higher quality.

I serve milk and sugar alongside my coffee and force neither on guests. (I don't even mention them. If they want it, they will add it.)
