My mom wants chicken alfredo. All I have is this jar. My question is how do I cook the chicken without ruining the Alfredo sauce flavor?

You might as well just slap her in the face and tell her how much you hate her.

Here's what you do.
1. Throw out that awful jar
2. In a wide pan, saute finely minced garlic in 4 tbsp butter until fragrant
3. Add 1/2 pint of cream and stir frequently
4. Add Parmesan/Romano cheese, stir
5. Simmer for 5 minutes, add cooked chicken (doesn't matter how you cook it. throw it in the oven for 12 minutes)
6. Cook pasta just a bit before al dente, drain, add to sauce/chicken
7. Mix to cover pasta, let it cook for another 2 minutes, then serve.

Grill, broil or pan-fry the chicken with salt, pepper, herbs and some garlic, then put the alfredo sauce over pasta, chicken on top and put some parmesan and/or romano on the whole deal.

I'm thinking of cutting the boneless chicken thigh's I have into bite size pieces and just pan fry em in margarine but I'm worried the margerine will kill the flavor

Throw the chicken in the oven and broil it. That way you don't need oil or anything like that. The chicken will just taste like chicken.

Canola oil and Vegetable oil are the same thing. Just use that to pan fry the chicken.

she cant fully grasp the taste of food. the only thing she can pick up is salt. even though she wants me to make this. ill be eating as well. like i said my main concern is the chicken. im not gonna bother going to the store and run around going bananas to make a proper alfredo ragu. im gonna stick with the jar she bought.

>proper alfredo ragu
jesus, alfredo sauce is literally the easiest fucking sauce to make. ever.

>> No.3986085

Just saute some onions and garlic in some butter and when they're done add the sliced chicken and cook that as well. When the chicken is cooked pour the sauce over the whole thing and serve over pasta.

>> No.3986103

I once added chopped up sun dried tomatoes and basil. Surprisingly good.

Ahhh, be careful with the thighs.
Even if you cut off all the fat it's just not the best part to make chicken alfredo with. Make sure you drain its grease and shit as much as possible or it'll just ruin everythiiiiiiiiiing.

>> No.3986159

Meh, When I was broke and too lazy to cook id do it this way.

cook chicken in pan with oil, add seasonings of liking.
Boil medium shell pasta, drain, add ragu and then add chicken and stir. I like it. But im going to start making my own sauce since I actually have a real kitchen these days unlike my old apartment.
