Trying AB's pasta method with a bit of onion, tomato, and parmesan as well as a good dose of high-end olive oil and garlic. Should be good.

I would, though I have absolutely no means of doing so. Really need to get a camera one of these days. Didn't turn out badly for a maiden attempt, but next time should be better

I took a picture of how it was given to me, then I took out the middle onion ring and arranged the bacon a little better. I didn't have to smash it too much afterwards.

My dad invited me over for dinner. We had dry-as-the-mojave-desert meatloaf and flavorless mashed potatoes.

I think I'll do all the cooking whenever we have dinner together from now on.

Quick recap of tonight's cooking. Not a recipe vert, just snaps. Gnocchi and tomato sauce. There are 2 basil leaves on the plated dish, but I actually ate about 10.

Anyone who may ever want to make gnocchi, remember this tip I have for you. Take the weight of your potato(es) and multiply it by 0.3. The number you get is the weight you will need in flour. In my case it was 240g potato (1/2 of a large one). Do the math and you see that requires 72g flour. It does not fail, and how firm or soft the dough is can be fine tuned by increasing or decreasing such as 0.35 or 0.25, etc. But I think 0.3 is perfect already.

You didn't eat buffalo. You ate bison. Buffalo have never been native in the U.S. What the indians, the cav and the hunters used to call buffalo are actually bison.

There are only two kinds of buffalo on Earth - Cape Buffalo and Water Buffalo.

Sheeit, Fuzzy's is pretty legit. I try to go everytime I go back to hometown. I wish we had one in Houston. We probably do somewhere but I've never seen it. But we have Torchy's here and thats even better. If your ever in Austin or Houston hit up Torchy's Tacos, its pretty fucking good.
