So I am really fucking good at making baked potatoes.
But that's about it.

What are some other meals I can make on a college budget and time limit?
I prefer nothing frozen, containing meat, or requiring ingredients that parish in under a couple weeks.

Will post some delicious looking baked potatoes for now.

I know, I'm just really bad with meat because of my schedule.
I either don't have the time to cook it, or I stick it in the freezer and forget about it.
Once it's been frozen, it doesn't taste as good to me anymore anyway.

W- what?! I never thought of that, but just tried it because of you. Now I've got a new snack I can throw together with ease. See, I always keep some pinto beans in the fridge which I cook in plain water with no salt or seasoning. This is because I almost always refry them and that's when I add stuff. Well i just pulled some out and heated up with bbq sauce stirred in. I quickly sauteed some ring slices of onion and toasted a slice of sourdough. Pretty much made a bbq bean sandwich with onion and dill pickle slices. Cracked some black pepper all over the beans.

Going to expand on it tomorrow or so. Woot.

I'd second stir fry with broccoli and carrots. Potato soup sounds good too. Maybe add tomato and broccoli cheese soup to the list.

For something sweet try turkish yogurt with crushed nuts and honey.

Or this(You can cut the ingredients if you make only one portion):
1L Rice porridge made with milk.
1dl sugar
2dl cream
1 table spoon vanilla sugar
Top with some strawberry jam.

After browsing my recipes folder I found some recipes that I added recently but have not tried out yet.

Gordon ramsey - Balsamic beetroot with roquefort:

Gordon Ramsey - Flatbread, feta and chickpea salad
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrTnmon7J5s&feature=relmfu

Both of these seemed pretty delicious and I'm definitely trying these out this week.

>> No.3944314

not op but make a large cut across the length of the potato, bigger and deeper the better. use a spoon to scoop out the inside and put it in another bowl. (leave about 1/4inch of potato next to the skin to help it keep shape) mix in whatever you want then carefully spoon it back in

>> No.3944318

Easiest thing is get vegetables, fry/steam/whatever, throw on rice or pasta. I don't like frozen vegetables as much as fresh, but they'll probably store better if you're getting them a month in advance.

If you google "how to bake a potato" the top link will be a great guide for a very basic baked potato.

If you melt cheese in the mashed insides, it actually makes it very easy to mix.
The potato innards will become soft and stick together.
I think it works a lot better than milk or sour cream, and you don't need to use a lot of cheese to get it right.
