Was that typo intentional? I really hope it wasn't. Either way you got a good belly laugh out of me, thanks anon.

Perogies are made out of dough that doesn't have potatoes in it, only the stuffing does.

Also, it's the best dish in Poland but only if you make it with Polish quark cheese.

I'm Polish and I confirm this. Awful awful stuff I had to eat as a kid. Thank god I moved to a country that has a bunch of different ethnic cultures cooking their delicious shit.

> real pierogis

You describe nothing but faggot shit. And please stop mis-spelling "pierogi". There is no S in that word. Plural is spelled the same as singular; its the name of a dish, not the individual "pot stickers" or "cranberry ravioli" (you both should be slapped for that).

For all the open minded folk out there, if you've never had pierogi, you must try it. Potato filled pasta with mershed perderder stuffing (wait, it gets better), boiled, then sautéed with onion until it is browned and the onions are carmelized.

Sounds ridiculous, but the flavor is amazing in all its simplicity. And its a simple dish; have it cooked properly for you your first time, not some hipster who thinks they can re-invent every dish by dumping a bunch of shit in it.

If the whole pollock thing puts you off, there is a similar dish from Italy (gnocchi), but minus the fry step and drowned in sauce (think ketchup on steak).

why treat it like some exotic seasonal delicacy?

I get my babcia to make me like 50 and then I freeze them all. just ruski pierogi, cheese and potato insides. convenient as fuck.

when I want a quick delicious dinner I make me some bacon while they boil in water for 10 minutes.
