I like oyster sauce. Doesn't taste much like oysters though.

That's not oyster sauce (or, at least, it's not real). I don't get why it's more expensive than the real stuff.
Pic related: this is oyster sauce and the brand I most recommend.

That looks like a dark fish sauce. Not knocking it (I'll probably try some later) but I'm just so used to the other one.

It says oyster sauce right there in the yellow part...

I know. I'm just saying it looks watery like fish sauce.

Look at the bottle of the Panda-brand. See the word 'flavoured' between the word 'oyster' and the word 'sauce?' That implies that it has no oysters in it.
Nearly a third of Mae Krua's weight, on the other hand, is from oysters. It's real and it's delicious. If you're happy with Panda, use it by all means, but Mae Krua's the real stuff and usually cheaper, to boot.

It's not watery. It's very, /very/ thick. It has a similar viscosity to sweet soy sauce, which makes sense, considering. How would you guess that it's watery by looking at the bottle? There is no information that could lead you to that conclusion. However, the bottle of Panda-brand leads one to the conclusion that it has no oysters.
You know... similar to orange-flavoured Jell-O.

Fucking Zing man, their barbecue sauce, red wine sauce, and garlic sauce are all delicious

Quite simply compared to the Panda one, it looks watery.

Which ones does it not go on? I've never had HP sauce. I see it all the time at the grocery, but I've never gone out of my way to pick up a bottle.

Fish. I tried but it was awful. You can liberally apply it to beef, chicken, pork and sausages. It also works other places you might use tomato sauce like on fried eggs or in a burger.

I see. What does it taste like? Right after chicken, fish is my most commonly consumed meat. I'd eat it more often if I could get better quality fish where I live now.

It's pretty rich and piquant. So it's kinda like a super bitey smooth blended chutney?

Officially it's "HP Sauce has a malt vinegar base, blended with tomato, dates, tamarind extract, sweetener and spices"

You had me at
>super bitey smooth blended chutney
but the icing was
>vinegar base, blended with tomato, dates, tamarind extract, sweetener and spices
Vinegar is my favourite condiment and tomatoes, dates and tamarind my three favourite things from which to make sauces.
I'm gonna pick up a small bottle. Thanks much, Anon.
