Hi /ck/ ...I'm trying to make myself the perfect balanced diet, for my health obviously...was wondering what meals I should be eating through the day. Some facts...I'm vegetarian, fair weight, starting the gym, young.

1) Be a fruits and veggies vegetarian, not an oreos and meat substitutes vegetarian.
2) See above. This cannot be emphasized enough. Seek out and eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. 5 a day is not pushing it.
3) Learn to love Indian food if you can. Keeps things from getting boring as a veggie.
4) Take advantage of fortified soy and almond milk. Dat b12. You can also get it from energy drinks, but seeing as we're going for optimal diet here, fuck that.
5) You bulking? Nuts. Eat 'em.
6) Whole grains are good, of course, but I would STILL suggest eating more whole fruits and vegetables than them. In fact, that should be the base of your pyramid, with whole grains comprising half of the midsection, and fats/protein comprising the other half.
