Seen a few good mixed drinks threads on here recently. I'm mixing some drinks for some friends of mine tonight. Is anyone able to help me out? Something relatively cheap would be preferred

Are you looking for something you can just mix a bucket of once and pour until it's done, like your typical ne/ck/beard, or do you actually want to do it properly, one drink at a time?

My friends can mix their own drinks just fine and as they are not helpless little bitches, it's understood that they can help themselves to anything in my bar on their own, and figure out how to use the tools.

I'm assuming op intends to infantilize his guests and serve them like the cocktail waitress he is, which is why I'm asking if he had something in particular in mind.

Doesnt sound too bad, might give that a shot

Made me lol. It's not so much for friends as with friends. My bad. Just looking for some ideas. Nothing really particular in mind. Generally a fan of rum, we also have some whiskey laying around

Well in that case I'd say buy some seltzer, some fresh mint, some granulated sugar, some limes, and bag or two of ice.

That will give you the flexibility to make a few classics, as well as some half-assed faux-classics depending on how strict you are about your crossovers.

Add angostura bitters and a small bottle of sweet vermouth for even more options.

fill first 3/4 with some spirit like rum or whiskey.
Fill the rest with another spirit or aromatic wine like vermoth, or be adventurous and try fruit juice or cream.
Add a dash of syrup or liqueur to top it off.

Experiment and find things you like
