I have this knife set shown. Its a chefs knife, bread knife, 6" slicing knife, and a 3.5" paring knife, steel, scissors, and 17 slot knife block. Next on my list is 8 steak knives, leaving 3 (bigger) slots left. What to fill them with? Santuku?

The wusthof Ikon steak knives are a little out of my price range. Any opinions on the Wusthof Classic steak knives for half the price?

I believe they are the same knife, just different handles.
And even if there is a difference you're still getting an amazing set of steak knives

If you actually needed them, you'd know what to buy.

Just buy an edgepro if you want to throw money at your knives and don't want to think. Or if edgepro isn't durrdurrmanly enough, spend $1500 on a set of choseras and a couple of atoma plates for flattening and maintenance. And murder a $2 million dollar Saudi thoroughbred horse and flay it for stropping material. Make sure to raze a village in the Belgian Congo for some rare micro abrasive too. Burn the women and children alive, because chromium oxide was too mainstream.

interesting, they are the same, same steel even. Different bolster and the Ikon is prettier but other than that they're identical
