Whole Foods 3 y.o. aged gouda. Anyone ever had this? I would lose a nut for a pound of it

Trader Joe's also sells this most awesome cheese. Taste is similar to Asiago. Blend 50/50 with Parmesan for pasta.

I am tired of this illusion that whole foods is bad or for hipsters. Once in a while, I travel an hour from my home to visit whole foods when I want to buy something special like cheese or asparagus. The local grocery store does not have things like that. I save up a little money and buy things at WF because I can not find them anywhere else.

yeah me too, I though it was easily available everywhere until I moved out to the country. I get it, shallots, leeks, beets, unbleached AP flour, certain cheeses, some seasonal items at WF that are not available to me here.

>foreigners saying Gouda cheese

Gouda just refers to hard cheeses. It can be in the salt for any time, same for the shelf. There's no one 'recipe' that's typically Goudse.
