Good-tasting wines at affordable prices?

Preferably white or rosé.

This stuff isn't too bad if you like a fuller bodied rose.

Also, how do you define "affordable"?

Under $40 for 750 ml, or somewhere in that range, I'm not too picky.

In that case, this. My favorite rose.

carmenere, it kicks the shit out of any other wine, I think you can only get chilean, it used to be french but some disease killed all the good vineyards but the french took it with them to chile and now they are the best at it.

Many thanks, I live in BC, Canada btw so do you have any secondary or tertiary options if we don't have that?

I've never had a rose wine before - how is it different from white or red?

Something like a cross between a white and a red. The taste depends on the style. The one I posted is a weird one, look for a bottle from provence to taste what most people think of when they think of rose. A lot of them taste almost like they're made with strawberries (which they are not).

Maybe one of these? It's hard to find a good California rose and this stuff is pretty nice.

I have no idea what they sell in Canada, I always think of it as the place where you can't buy any good alcohol and it's always way too expensive.

Worst case you can probably find a bottle of Domaines Ott just about anywhere. Or at least, I would assume so.

Red wine- made with the grape skins
white wine- only the juice
Rose- removed the skins halfway through
