Listen, a martini is made with gin not vodka I yelled at my friend!

>> No.3808828

it can't be helped. you should cut off contact with your friend and anyone else who disagrees. the alternative is to become one of them.

whats so great about gin? before i was legal someone picked it up by mistake and i didnt even get a buzz from it.

>> No.3808840

But gin tastes like shit.

Serious. I've had tesco brand gin, homemade damson gin, gordons and others, but it's just something you drink if you wanna get blitzed. And whisky is over-rated as fuck

No man, you're supposed to drink whiskey and pretend you like the subtle flavours and taste.

Then eventually you get used to it

Never understood that. When people say

>Ahh, I'm detecting smoky undertones with a grape like taste that tickles the pallet

It's spirits man. Not french cuisine.

Gin and whiskey are both very enjoyable to drink.

>>3808866
this is true, though.

Maybe that's the case with expensive spirits, but i've never bought any and wouldn't know. Most expensive i've ever got was Johnnie Walker black label, which is usually like $70 a bottle over here. It was easier to drink than Johnnie Walker Red Label, but I still didn't taste much.

The one that fucks me off the most is some bottles of rum that say they have a chocolatey taste. Pic related

I tried a 12 year old Glenfiddich. Only difference was it was stronger. Surprisingly the only good whisky i had was welsh
>welsh

And when I drink whisky it's with coke which is the most refreshing thing ever

This thread is full of teenagers. Holy shit why are you even on /ck/ if you still think gin is to "get blitzed" and whiskey is something everyone is pretending to like.

God forbid people can differentiate the luxuries they enjoy, AMIRITE?

A good beer has more elements than a good gin. It tastes better as well. Same goes for ales and wines.

But not cider.
