yeah korean food isn't very good. they like things that get stuck in your throat so you choke. cutting food is bad luck so they'd rather suffer.

>> No.3799594

Korean food is awesome. The people who diss it have either never been there or only ate at McDonalds while they were in-country.

Shut the fuck up. Korean knives are bad ass.

Looks lovely. And bears a marked resemblance to some types of Greek food.

>go to small southern Korean town on business
>get taken to some octopus place
>octopus cooked numerous ways
>last course is live octopus wrapped around chopsticks
>get handed a chopstick
>panic and let squid unravel
>try to shove it down my throat
>accidentally tentacles lining esophagus

Pic related. Mr. Kang had to drink some shit with soju + beer + peppers + octopus tentacles/head in one shot.

Depends. In places where there aren't actually any Koreans, yes. But in cities where there are it's pretty cheap. Lived near a Korean community in the midwest and there was ONE really good fairly cheap restaurant $5-$10 per dish. Stay away from Korean places ran by Japanese though.

Lucky! I live in cali, the nearest korean joint is an hr away and its about $13.00 per dish... When I visited denver, dishes were also $13...

I live in Toronto... hundreds of Korean restaurants it seems, and the overall quality is excellent and the prices are great.

It took some time, but I really like Korean food. For the previous two years it was probably my favourite cuisine to eat, especially in the winter season.

Where the fuck do you live that Japanese people run Korean restaurants? I live in a practically Korean business dominated area (Queens NY) and it's always the other way around (Koreans running Japanese food). I can't imagine Japanese people making decent Korean food, and why they would do that either. The general populace prefers Japanese food to Korean food by a wide margin.

What he said; I live on-and-off in SoCal and Colorado and Koreans running Japanese places are par for the course - NEVER the other way around.

Honestly, the squid needs to be cut down into bit-sized pieces. You're eating this with chopsticks after all. Otherwise, it looks very good.
