Blunt knives really annoy me. How can people work with these things?

They can't, but they waste a lot of time trying.

I'd like to see you try to make ramen with a dull knife

Expensive knives are just like snap on tools.
Totally unnecessary, no better than budget non branded types, and vastly overpriced.

I'd rather spend £10 on a knife, and sharpen it once a month.

Lulz, it's so easy. You guys have no idea how to cook

Does that include the knife licence, mandatory registration fee, and VAT?

Be grateful that /ck/ is educating you, plebe.

VAT is charged at 20% on almost all goods and services.
The exemptions are:
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/forms-rates/rates/goods-services.htm

There is no licence or registration required with knife purchase. However it is illegal to carry a blade on your person (without good reason) over 3" in length, or carry a fixed (non folding) blade below 3" in length.

>>3784351
Also note: That shit applies to public areas.

This doesn't mean your kitchen knives all have to be 3" long.

That looks really tasty. There's a noodle shop in Chinatown that does that. A little more grungy than in that video, but same idea and it's cheap as fuck.

It's not ramen though.

They're both good. I don't really think they're similar enough to say one's better than the other, but I guess for some people Asian noodles are Asian noodles.

You all look the same to us too.

Oh, I know it's not ramen. I'm just saying it's possible to have thin noodles without ever having to use a knife.
