can you imagine a world without potatoes?

>> No.3778390

I suppose the Irish could imagine.

No man I love potatoes and if potatoes don't exist I don't want to either.
I love fried potatoes
I love baked potatoes
I love boiled potatoes
I love mashed potatoes
I love potato salad
I love potato chips
I love creamed potatoes
I love potato lefse(no idea what that would be called in english)
I love potato gnocchi
I love hash browns
I love rösti
I love latkas

Potatoes are delicious
they taste like caramel

I'm shuddering at the idea of only eating rice or noodles to everything.

>> No.3778401

wouldn't change much for me. I eat potatoes less than once a month.

You left out canarian potatoes. That shit is fucking delicious with some mojo.

I've had my ability to eat some of my favorite foods ripped away already, I'm numb to the experience

>> No.3778409

I could deal with it. I barely ever eat potatoes.

I guess I'd have to find a way to mash broccoli.

>taste like caramel
>apparently hasn't had caramelized potatoes
You're missing out.

>> No.3778481

I guess it wouldnt be too bad... world without potatoes = no fries, therefore no sides for amerifats... so it would probably lead to america being wiped out because they cant reach 4000 calories a day...

i would take this sacrifice

While I'd miss some of the stuff, I could certainly live without them, even though many of my country's national/staple dishes require them.

I think a bigger hit would be the disappearance of rice or wheat. No bread... just imagine.

Would sweet potatos disappear too?

I never said preferred it, but it's a fact, that rice provides food to far more people than potatos or even wheat.

There would be no vodka and there would be a lot less Irish people living.
Do you consider yams part of the potato family? If so, a lot less Africans would be alive also.
It would probably be a crappy world without potatoes, corn chips with every sandwich, burger, and deep fried meat item.
