OK, I can't find a homegrownmen thread, but have a question for you guys.
My basil is starting to flower. WTF do I do w/ them? Should I wait til they dry and become seeds? I've never had basil do this......

When my basil starts to flower I usually cut it back almost 50% across the whole plant. This shocks it back into non-flowering mode and it will grow like crazy again to make new shoots and replace its lost leaves.

The basil I cut back is immediately made into pesto and stored for future use. If you aren't using it right away just put a thin layer over it and stick it in the freezer.

I've been harvesting different than I use to. Instead of cutting the whole stalk, I just nip off the leaves. I only have one plant flowering, and I've read that it'll stop producing leaves if it continues to flower. I guess I'm gonna cut it back tomorrow. So many leaves coming in I can't get one batch fully dried before another is ready to be plucked! I was hoping to transplant from buckets to the ground in a month......
