Just ate some chinese mustard.

What made my nose explode in agony?

>> No.3734362

That is the best feel.....I love it

(of course, I have chronic sinus problems, so chinese mustard, wasabi, grated horseradish, etc. all feel like heaven to me.)

Only other thing in my life that cleared my sinuses the way a really good Chinese mustard does was the gas chamber @ RTC.

the short answer is... horseradish

Meh. The regular is actually more tasty than the hot/pungent, but Szeged's both varieties are the best in America.
Whenever I am homesick and wanting gramma's cooking, I make paprikás using Polish sausages (because neither North Italian nor Austrian nor Swiss nor certainly Hungarian smoked sausages are easily available where I live and the Polish ones come pretty close), onion, garlic, potato and Szeged paprika, often using bacon render as the cooking fat and it tastes like home.

Really? Is this a question anyone even needs to ask anymore? How do people not know this stuff? This boggles my mind.

Enlighten me then as to the chemical reactions that occur upon ingesting the mustard that leads to such agony then my clearly intelligent friend.
