Going to an asian market tomorrow after work. I've been to 99ranch AND this market before, but there's some things I've never tried that I just... don't know what they are.

What should I pick up? Pictures and names, please. I like everything. Their tako yaki and laulau were amazing.

OP, totally depends what you like to eat. I typically go to the Asian market to buy rice, because it's cheaper there. If you're looking for something simple to try, get some bok choy, garlic and a bottle of fish sauce to make stir-fry. (chop your bok choy, cook the thick parts first, add in leafy bits and garlic, splash in fish sauce, toss, serve with rice or noodles)

get some china steamed buns with either red bean fillings or egg custard fillings.

to prep either put wet cloth on top of the buns and mircowaves or steam then until warmed through.

Get glass noodles if you want to make Chabchae. Really simple dish to make.

Don't be afraid to buy things that you don't know what they are. You candiscover new dishes that way. I bought rice noodles on a whim and would make a roux, add water and cook the rice noodles in the sauce. Super tasty.
