Either pasta with pancetta, onion and peas (pic related, though I prefer it a tad soupier), fish noodle soup with roasted chickpeas, good gumbo or sautéed beets and sauerkraut with bacon.
I'm an Italian national raised in Southeast Asia living in the US who loves Polish food.

Anything with prawns. I'll go for Paella.

>> No.3712573

I've never had any but the frozen kind. You eat them home-made I assume?

My favorite food...Thai style curries probably.

When homemade, they are heavenly. I recently eaten frozen once, but they werent that bad actually.

Polish food is okay, it's more like grandma's home cooking even though my grandmother wasn't polish. Just the basics.

And I really like Polish food. Like... more than a friend.
The only Polish food I don't like is Polish-style gulyás (bland).
We (Italians) stereotype Polish as being masters of mushroom, eating it all the time, with most meals. Other than pasta, what do Polish stereotype us with?

Freshwater Eel, caught with my bare hands after hours of trying. Eat that fucker right out of the water.

Polish people bug me. They're too damn proud to be Polish and they're constantly expressing it. Maybe it's just the area I live in but every church festival is a Polish one with a shit ton of Polish shirts, Polish flags, Polka band, ONLY Polish food.

A friend of mine, her great grandmother was Polish and probably not 100%. That's it. The rest of her family was mixed American. Walk in her mother's house and it was all Polish figurines, Polish paintings, Polish stained glass, Polish tapestries. Fuck, Poland isn't THAT fucking great.

Stupid question: what's the difference between pierogi and wontons?
