witness my latest invention...

1) julienne one classic carrot
2) heat 1 tsp oil or butter
3) add carrots
4) add 3 tsp sugar
5) add 1/2 tsp salt
6) add 1 tsp cinnamon

7) add big handful of raisins, stir and let cook awhile on low, 5-10 mins ish depending on how thin you sliced your carrots

9) cook until the oats get toasty. it doesn't really look different, i stopped when there started to be a little smoke but you could probably go toastier.

11) cook til thick, should only be a few minutes. cooks faster than normal oats bc of the frying.

13) dollop of yogurt or other tasty dairy. could also be fresh fruit. tickle your pickle.

and there you have it...oatmeal pilaf. delicious. or as my gf said, carrot cake oatmeal. tomato tomato.

ok, but i swear i thought of it on my own. i see there are indeed a fair number of recipes called carrot cake oatmeal thar are literally what i made lol. funnily they literally all have near five stars but none have very many ratings in total. i like a lot of cinnamon though and as a matter of fact i was going for the taste of pilaf but i didnt have spices beside cinnamon... i was actually thinking that some kind of small amount of meat would be tasty but then i realized id just come back around to medieval pudding. i dont know if im ready to take that step yet. if i do ill have to do it real style by hunting a rabbit or smth.
