I'll say it, because I somehow just found out about it. If you're making popcorn, and you want it to taste like the theatres, but always you feel it's missing something. It's this. It's like $6 for a lifetime supply of it on amazon. You barely need a half teaspoon for a whole bigass bowl of popcorn. Put it in the oil or butter you're using to pop the corn.

The worst thing about all of this is the fact that it is made of chemicals. Cyanide is a chemical. Diacetyl is a chemical. Therefore, Flavacol is bad for you because it contains diacetyl, and cyanide can kill you.

it's not a carcinogen, it just fucks you royally if you aspirate droplets of it over the course of years. I already work with respirable carcinogens so I don't think I'd double whammy myself by using it all the time but normal people would be fine. Just don't use it to fry food.
