Makes sense. If there exists a way to make miracle whip even more disgusting that it is normally, then only the British would be able to discover it.

One of the main ingredients is vinegar, im sure its fine. Most people in the uk dont even bother to check the dates on sauces, they just sit in the cupboard until they eventually get used up

Live next door to the people who invented mayo but instead import it from the US who never makes it fresh but instead relies on a Czech to make it for them. Also, we use Hellmans (or Best Foods west of the Mississippi). Heinz only for ketchup and not exclusively.

I opened with showing her cooking competitions a while back (which we FFS NEED to bring back)
Then she realized we're just a bunch of weirdo nerds and doesn't mind, but she asked me not to tell her NPR parents

These shit last forever thanks to all the chemicals they put in them.
You can probably use them as antibiotic or pesticide.

We used to have cooking challenges where one week everyone would submit their entry in the challenge and the next week would be a different challenge when everyone would vote on the previous challenge entries
Back in the day there were even prizes
It could be anything from "show me your best PBJ" to "You CAN make a lasagna from scratch, can't you /ck/?"

Problem is we used to have a complicated voting system, along with different voting systems, and while people were still submitting entries, we couldn't figure out who won after a while

>British Miracle Whip
Almost but not quite. British Salad Cream has more of a vinegar 'Tang', whilst Miracle Whip is a lot sweeter because of HFCS (who would have guessed) .

>>20508453
Salad Cream was around before Miracle Whip so, who made what? more disgusting?

British salads were always a little more basic than French and Italian salads, they weren't tossed in an oil based dressing but simply presented and coated with a squiggle of Salad Cream.

Works well with fish too, if you ever made a sandwich with fish sticks (or fish fingers) then use Salad Cream, it really works!

Yes, because for the most part, expiration dates are a scam. I ate a can of soup the other day that was 2 years past the expiration date. Looked fine, smelled fine and tasted fine. Obviously some things you shouldn't eat past the expiration but if it's something like that in a bottle or in a can you are good to go. Especially only a few months past.

Its exactly the same as Kewpie mayonnaise. Same ingredients and made the same way. Salad cream was invented before it though, so its the original

It's British Miracle Whip in that we use them the same way and they're both kind of debated
