started at 93.4kg, now at 76.9kg
all because i count my calories
havent done much exercise, only about 4 or 5 days of running this year (even though i said i would 3x a week, ive been lazy)

eating healthy has been real easy for me, ill explain why:
>have been wanting to lose weight for at least 4 years now
>each year id try, but id fail for various reasons (got too comfortable eating cheat meals and never stopped, etc)
>this year i decided i wouldnt eat ANYTHING unhealthy
>no cheat meals, no cheat days, nothing
>count my calories meticulously, dont want to risk failure
thats it. i just dont want a repeat of the last few years. i know i cant fail. i dont even feel tempted to eat junk food now.

He's right though, in that your tastes do change based on what you're presently consuming. It takes time to adjust. As well as your body's ability to process it.
>drinking whole milk for a month and then having skim milk makes it taste at first like weird water; going the reverse direction makes whole milk seem overpoweringly thick
>eating beans when you haven't had any in a while can make you gassy, but eating beans every day minimizes this
>water tastes sort of bitter, I guess, or at least bland, if you only drink flavored beverages, but if you stop drinking them water is refreshing and normal
>eating deep fried food every few days is normal if you do it regularly, but if you go a month or two without it can irritate your throat or make you feel bloated or whatever, varies by person
Countless examples. A steamed carrot would taste totally unseasoned if you were used to strongly seasoned foods, but otherwise, it will taste pleasantly sweet.

One of my fav ground beef things to make lately is "poor white man's bulgogi" -- basically a ton of honey, soy sauce, and beef. I usually par cook the beef, drain the oil, then fry ginger, garlic, and szechuan pepper corns in some of the leftover fat and put the beef back in with a bunch of honey and soy sauce. The beef will crisp up with the sugar from the soy sauce and it'll become a shiny brown. Serve over white rice with whatever veggies you want

Went with the loco moco, cubano, chimichurri fries, togarashi tots, and pineapple cranberry couscous

>> No.20392740

>>20392655
Loco Moco was alright. the bao bun was a bit dry and the egg was overcooked, but it tasted good. I'm not sure what made it a 'loco moco' aside from the egg.
Cuban was great. A little more wet and messy than I'd have liked, but that's alright. I don't think I've ever had a bad cuban sandwich.
Togarashi tots were great too. Seasoning was good and they stayed crispy.
Chimi fries were fine. They got a bit soggy.
Couscous would have been great with some grilled chicken or something. Good, but not really a side I'd want with a sandwich.
Fresca is 10/10 like always.

All of this cost me $50 bucks. Overall 8/10 experience. Would eat again.

Made a porterhouse over the weekend. Was so damn good... really expensive though. $17 for a cut that wasn't even an inch thick. I'm guessing what you have there is pork though?

This makes me nervous about food poisoning. Nice camera though, I didn't think I'd ever see a caper in such high fidelity, so that's one thing off my bucket list

Yup, thick cut bone in pork chop, my grocery store puts them on sale for like $3.99/lb all the time, still not super happy with the flavor but it's a damn sight better than when I was buying the thin center cut chops, I think my marinade needs to be better, this one definitely had too much sugar in it.

the cold of the meat cools the egg
nah seriously though, my country has very high food safety standards, if wasn't here, i absolutely would not eat this either

>> No.20407779

>>20407774
Food safety standards don't make it so they can effectively disinfect a meat grinder, I mean it's still beef, you'll be mostly fine, but you're risking just as much doing it in your country as anywhere else.

>Safe meat
Meat is not safe, the interior of whole muscle is, but the outer bits begin picking up and replicating bacteria the moment the animal dies
>clean grinder
No grinder is clean unless it's brand new or a small hand cranked one, they have too many seams, little nooks, etc that can breed bacteria.

You don't know much about industrial food processing, which is fine, most people don't, but you should learn to listen sometimes. Good luck with your "tartar"

Lime juice, cilantro, jalapenos, and some sour cream.
The meat is carnitas I had made that were leftover but not enough for regular uses so pizza made the meat go further.

hamburger stroganoff with either egg noodles or over your brown rice. make beefy enchilada casserole by layering fried corn tortillas and fried beef and cheese with a red sauce, pretty much a mexican lasagna. you can do both with the ingredients you have what with your chili spices and Salisbury steak gravy making ability. obviously meat balls and spaghetti
