I'm 29 years old and I have never cooked anything beyond boiling pasta and pasta sauce.

How do you live, then?
Buy yourself some basmati rice, toast it in butter/oil for few minutes, then add 4/3 of its weight in volume of water and add a lid. Cook on high heat for five minutes, turn to low for another ten, and then let it rest, lid on, off heat for a while. There you go: more than pasta. Serve with almost anything, even many western dishes.

t. 25 yo.

I think the first thing they taught us was frittata
chop up some left over whatevers and pan fry it in a bit of oil or butter and then dump a couple beaten eggs on. turn down the heat and cover for a few minutes. add cheese if you like before you cover
now you got another you can make

I either ate pre made microwave meals or just plain whole wheat sandwiches with different ingredients

Alternatively, just different nuts that I cover either in salt or spices.

Or toss some meat things in an air fryer. Or fries in an air fryer.

Literally sums up my diet of my whole life.

trying to set you up for failure and destitute if you don't become a successful collage grad?

Learn how to cook rice, eggs, meats. Know how to follow directions. Don't take recipes on most websites seriously, most of them are just adwords strung together by bored housewives or broke college students, or straight up AI generated. Youtube is usually better for showing how to cook something because they are showigng you for real.
Know how to season your food: Basically put salt, butter/olive oil, garlic, onion, and paprika on everything, maybe some vinegar or lemon juice. Or hot sauce if you are into that. It's not that hard, just learn one thing at a time.

4/3 is an *improper fraction* (a fraction where the numerator is greater than the denominator).
"Irrational fraction" would be an oxymoron. "Irrational" means "cannot be represented by the ratio of two integers" i.e. cannot be represented by a fraction.

Yikes. I didn't know people over 23 still came here. That's hella creepy. Like imagine being old and still coming here. I'm so scared of being old. Imagine having wrinkles and having a double digit bodyfat percentage and everything basically sucking and there's nothing you can do about it. Once I hit 25 I think I'll just kys myself so I never know what being a gross 25 year old and over feels like.
