Like other anons have said, sometimes the expensive brand and the bargain brand are the same product, with different packaging.
Personally, I've never noticed a significant difference between different butters, because I'm more concerned with what the butter is on.

I grew up eating picrel. Until one day my mom started bringing home government butter from somewhere, I dunno, that butter that says "not for sale" on it, and it rocked my world.
When you only know what fake butter tastes like the cheapest real butter tastes amazing.
One time I tried kerrygold and I didn't really taste much of a difference.

Depends. If I am using the butter to cook. It really doesn't matter. I get the cheap shit to throw in a pan as long as it has a high smoke point. If I am spreading it on a piece of bread or adding it to the end of a dish I want something with more quality. Whatever who cares.

>> No.20293810

>>20291580
Store brand sometimes tastes very slightly rancid. Unless you're eating a lot of it plain on bread you might not notice. Cultured and grass-fed butter is when the flavor starts changing more but if you're using it in cooking it won't be as noticeable. Cheap butter is fine but if you just want like good bread and butter the more expensive stuff is worth it then.

Should the Indian squaw have even been on it in the first place? Even after the appropriation of European culture (horses, clothing, firearms, viruses, etc) into Indo-American lore, the indigenous American never adopted dairy farming. Animal husbandry -- and, by extension, dairy farming and consumption -- is strictly an Eurasion practice.

Massai raise Zebu. Zebu cattle originated in Southwest Asia and that their descendants were non-humped, they have evolved from three breeds of Indian cattle. Cattle being in that part of the world only became a thing when colonization by Europeans happened. Their "traditional lifestyle" is less than 500yrs old. You're right though, they drink a lot of milk, and blood...and eat a very high fat diet. All animal based.
