I have recently discovered the existence of microwave omelette things and my life has improved. They *don't* come out same way as in a pic, way more weird looking, (I haven't found the right microwave timing yet), but still very good
along with instant pot boiled soft/hard eggs this almost completes the shitty fast ways you can make eggs with zero effort

I'm a sad autismal guy who cannot have this much ready ingredients in the fridge
if there's a bacon and bread that will SPOIL ANY DAY NOW, I will have a compulsion to eat it in order not to throw food out
eggs store quite a bit more, so I have some breathing room to eat only when I'm actually hungry

>> No.20224311

>>20224295
Bread lasts a very long time in the fridge, longer than eggs actually. The expiration date on the bag is wrong, its 2 weeks past that in the fridge. When you buy bacon seperate it into bags with 2 pieces for each and put it in the freezer. Since this is such a small amount of meat it thaws very fast, and you can put it in the fridge the night before for breakfast or in the morning for dinner and it will be ready, or just hold the bag under the tap for 30 seconds. But you don't need bacon anyways, you can just use cheese, or nothing but egg even, and you don't need to butter the bread, you can just use mayo. If you have a nonstick you don't have to butter the pan either. So basically three ingredients here, bread, mayo, and eggs, and you can leave out the bread and mayo.

this is really helpful, thank you
I will try to freeze some stuff
there shouldn't be that much difference with frozen bacon compared to fresh one, right?
I ordered some mayo from amazon hoping to save a few dollars and it arrived like this, lol
I didn't know it would separate like this during shipping in cold van

Not if you press the air out of the bags, no. If there is no air in the bags they won't freezer burn.
>I ordered some mayo from amazon hoping to save a few dollars and it arrived like this, lol
Yeah I don't know if I would order mayonaise by mail, thats sus.

Interdasting. I am currently on a cut so always looking for zero or very low calorie options. Pickles a common staple but get very boring quick. Never thought about the idea of frying or baking slices of them. Do they fry up well or bake into something better then the wet slices themselves without the cheese?

>Do they fry up well or bake into something better then the wet slices themselves without the cheese?
Unless you deep fry them, no. Look at the nutritional info on the back of a pickle jar. They are just a neutral vehicle for delivering brine. Pickle juice arguably has more cooking applications than the pickles themselves. (although I guess you could put them in a salad or bread)

I bake shortbread at 275F for 45 minutes to get it nice and crispy. Slow roasting meat around that temperature for a nice light browning and tenderness is good too. Also when I make mac and cheese I put it in a 275F oven for about 45 minutes just like my shortbread to let it get slightly brown and crispy without making the sauce boil which often causes it to split and get greasy.
