Depends where, there's pockets of them in Evanston/skokie in the northeast suburbs. I dont really hang out in the city, but just pockets here and there. Lincoln Park and surrounding area is pretty good. Obviously you go south that's where things get rough. Even west side like around Jefferson Park, Irving park is where there's a pocket of them.

I live in the Northwest suburbs in Glenview. While im l'm starting to see them come up more and more. There is still a long way from it getting worse. My goal is to live in Arlington heights eventually, and if I do well enough in life, to live in the nice areas of Barrington. But that's not for a while until I get much older and tired of the city.

This is generally a good point, however Chicago deep dish is objectively the best pizza. Also Chicago style hotdogs with Vienna Beef Frank's are objectively the best hotdogs. There are reasonable opinions on other food items though except that an Italian Beef sandwich with hot giardenerra is objectively better than a Philly cheese steak and both are objectively better than whatever that abomination New York tried to meme into existence.
