Why don't they sell raw pizza bases so we can easily make good pizza at home? Is this like how the rich take drugs and make them illegal for everyone else? What else are they gatekeeping?

Where do you normally shop? Like the other anon said it’s often near the refrigerated bake at home store brand pizzas, but if not Ive always seen the dough balls in the deli section (alternatively I’ve seen thin crust and flakey pizza dough rolls near the uncooked cinnamon roll tube section).

It takes me literally ten minutes to make a dough for pizza, including the time it takes to get out the bowl and for and so on. I set it aside in the morning then, that night, I shape the dough as the oven preheats then top it and pop it in, another fifteen minutes at most. It's a quick dinner meal in our house.

My local mom and pop place sells their homemade dough balls and enough mozzarella for a pizza for less than $5. They're not going to put it on the menu, I'd been going there for years before I asked about it. Turns out they sell it to lots of people and had been for a very long time.

They do.
These are typically rolled and next to the other premade cooled doughs like croissant dough.
Though I tend to prefer to simply buy some frozen pizza margerita. They sell 3 packs of these (basically dough with tomato sauce and a bit of mozzarella) for very cheap. Even less hassle. Get one out of freezer, put on whatever you feel like today, bake in oven for 15 mins, NOM.

But making the dough is an important part of the process depending on how you want your pizza to be, but the grocery store is a good 'baseline' option.

I understand you can go to a local restaurant and buy dough, but my grocery store, Publix always has thawed raw dough balls in the bakery or deli area. They will sell you a frozen one too, if you ask and they thaw overnight in the fridge puffed up by dinner the following night.

I do very often buy one or even two, a container of whole milk ricotta, smoked provoline slices and either a bag of spinach or some interesting sausage like sundried tomato basil smoked chicken, or a butternutsquash-kale italian sausage (Publix). I saute up my filling choices, maybe some peppers or onions too. Layer some ricotta and provoline, bit of sauteed choices. Then, I roll to seal up my baby calzones in a flat portion of dough, rub with some EVOO on the top, to get it nice and golden brown, and bake on my pizza stone, typically on a small square of parchment to make it easy to transfer.

they do, but they are shit and absurdly overpriced, you can buy an entire frozen pizza for almost the same price.
learn to make pizza dough yourself, with a stand mixer it is literally less than 10 minutes of work, and one hour for it to rise. ignore the faggots that tell you that you need to leave the dough in the fridge for a week, a fast rise is perfectly fine.
