Time for you to stop delaying and bite the bullet on this one. Invest in automation and don't do it half-ass. Fast food cannot be expensive long term if it is going to survive as a business. You were able to exploit people's inertia for a while, raising prices while sales kept steady but now that inertia has run out and people see that fast food is not going to go back to being inexpensive again. The only way to get customers back is to make it inexpensive again and the only way to make it inexpensive again is to make massive investments that can be amortized over the long term. There is no quick and cheap fix. Time to invest or time to die.
