This is perhaps the single greatest psy-op in the history of the culinary arts. Measurements in recipes are a scam invented to prop up the measuring tool and recipe book merchants. I never measure a single thing I ever cook. I have developed and honed a sixth sense of understanding the innate feeling for portion sizes and how much is enough. My food is impeccable and always comes out flawless. I don't even taste it while I'm cooking, because that's another psy-op invented by pseud television "chefs" to appear better than you. My sixth sense tells me that the food I am making will turn out tasting perfect and exactly how I intend it to be, and I always end up being right. I can also cut my hair with my eyes closed and do an equal or better job than a barber, who I stopped going to ever since they made people wear masks in 2020.
They have taken us for absolute fools.

it's harder to do that when making baked goods

They are made for people who will fuck up their food if they don't have precise instructions. The result is mediocre but edible and sometimes quite decent food. If you know how to cook they are indeed useless.

>buy one set of cups for a tenner
>metal, lasts a lifetime
>means i always get a similar amount of rice, flour etc
>THIS IS A PSYOP

those are for baking, not cooking.

If you can't develop an intuition for baking then you should be made to register on the sex offender list and barred from being within 50 feet of any oven.

No, the greastest psy ops of the culinary world is modern can openers.
>go buy that bulky and cumbersome hunk of metal and plastic that's gonna get dull in a year and is terrible at opening cans, just $9.99 to 50+ bucks, goy!
>No! Don't buy the design that was perfected 80 years ago, can last multiple lifetimes, are actually good at opening cans and cost less than a dollar!

Just buy a scale, dunce. Less mess, less searching for the cup you don't have and you don't need to clean it too much, typically.

it's not even about the measurements, theyre just the best tools for working with baking goods. like what, why would i scoop out a bunch of flour with a spoon when i can just stick a cup in there and get a consistent amount each time? it's about convenience, not intuition, and by failing to see that you have in fact outed yourself as the faggot.
