Fucking kill me.
Is there anywhere where I can just buy a bunch of cheap, shitty garbage anymore?
It’s all still shitty garbage, but it used to have the redeeming quality of being cheap.
Thread for where I can buy a bunch of cheap shitty garbage, like hate myself for less than $10.
Ideally it would be less than $5, but while I’m enraged with the state of things I’m not completely out of touch.
Recommend me literally anywhere.
I’m not paying $6 for a fucking mcgangbang.

I feel you guys.
I’m such a cheap fuck that I do the majority of my cooking at home, and I’m quite happy with that.
But there’s this particular mood when you just wanna get drunk and eat a big bag of shitty cheap garbage, and I miss being able to do that.
I can’t justify spending $30 on fast food.
I just miss the dollar menus.
Like, dollar menu anywhere. Not just taco baco.
I figured if there was any way to still get a bag of shitty cheap garbage, the fast food board would be the place to ask.

those days are long gone tho, and honestly its better in the long run. even occasionally fast food is still subpar overpriced garbage. all thats left is to grab a shitty frozen burrito or box of taquitos instead.

McGangbangs (taking a McDouble and putting a mcchicken in between the patties bread and all) for $2.15 total was utter bliss as a broke ass teenager.
I miss being able to scrounge around in a couch and find enough money for a whole ass meal.
Every once in a while I would get real fucked up and try to eat two.
That was always a mistake.

Not joking probably once every two months or so I get real drunk and make it all the way into a McNaldos, stare at the menu for like 15 minutes trying to convince myself it’s worth it for the nostalgia, but I just flat out refuse to pay six+ fucking dollars for that.
I always end up walking away.
And like, fuck. I have the money. It’s the principal of it all.

Best deal right now might be the Dominos $8 large carry out combined with discounted Dominos gift cards (Sam’s Club has a deal ending tomorrow that’s $100 for $70, which would work out to $5.60 for a large carryout).

Aside from that the best bet for relatively quick and cheap now may be the Costco or Sam’s Club freezer section (but try not to burn yourself if you’ve already had a few).

At least through this thread I have learned that I’m not alone.
I really, really fucking hate the lazy assholes that have made price touching acceptable.
If people just weren’t alright with paying almost $20 for a McNaldo’s meal, this shit wouldn’t be happening.
But nah. They’re so lazy that they’ll do it.
Lazy idiots are perpetually encouraging corporate greed, and the other anon is right.
It’s money on the table for them.
The only thing that fast food used to have going for it for me was that it was cheap, and that’s been ruined.
It is mind blowing to me that people are so god damned lazy that they willingly sacrificed that.
And they’ll complain too, but they’ll keep going back.
The free market has spoken, I guess.

If you mean fast food specifically rather than the trillion options related to cooking at home, go to ANYWHERE but Taco Bell or McDonalds. These two decided to cater to a higher end market for some reason when they were the super-slop.

Burger King is now the cheapest in my experience, where you can get a meal's worth of food from cheap items bought together. No, I'm not saying it's cheap so I don't need some faggot responding with a picture of their most expensive item to tell me it's expensive, I'm saying in comparison to other fast food they provide the most options for cheaper-than-their-competitors food and variety with that. Ironic given they used to be the pricier place to go.

McDonalds does have a few cheap things (again, compared to others + for the current economy), people talk about $15 big mac meals but you can get a large 2 cheeseburger meal for under 6 dollars still.

Arby's is also relatively cheap still because nobody wants to eat there.

Oh he looks like a good boy. Maybe he'd like some chicken, lately I've been getting kfc instead of taco bell because I've noticed the prices getting stupid too. The family filler meal thing for 20 bucks gets you a pretty good spread, no matter what I get from there though the total tends to be surprisingly acceptable. Alternatively, I've been going to my local chinese place more often as well. I really love a drive thru, but it's worth getting dressed and stuff for how much better the food is. Even with the tip it's much better on the wallet as well, and I've been a regular there for over a decade so they give me great portions. I was over at my dads house the other day helping with some household chores. He lives in a very rural area of a very red state. At the end of the day we went to one of the nearby country bars. It’s the kind of place that farmers, truckers, legit cowboy boot wearers and the working class go to unwind with a cold one.

President Biden was on the TV and the local gun store owner said to his auto mechanic (friends since high school),

“You know what? He ain’t so bad. The economy is recovering, nobody’s rioting, and we’re standing up on the world stage again. Can’t believe I’m saying this but Ol’ Scranton Joe’s got my vote this year.”

I looked around and all I saw were heads nodding in agreement. I heard a few calls of “Yes sir” and “Damn Straight” from the men around me. Even saw the lonely ball cap wearing farmer in the corner raise his drink with a nod.

Just get the $6 build your own box. Comes with a drink. It's not as good as the Chalupa box, which was actually cheaper than the individual chalupa itself lol, but it's still a good deal. For the particular location in question, the manager is a chubby blonde woman who probably was cute and thin a decade ago but now is world weary and it shows. The employees are mostly early to mid twenties with various shades of skin from dark olive to light mocha. Most have visible piercings. Other than the very white manager, everyone else is of ambiguous race and ethnicity. No one sticks out as being Hispanic though it wouldn't surprise me if some of them do identify that way. For some reason the dining room almost always has 80s music playing even though no one working there was alive back then.

Von's used to have a Hispanic market called Tiangus.
>FROM the tortilleria of the Tianguis supermarket here comes the slap, slap, slap of women making tortillas by hand. On a Saturday afternoon, the market is in perpetual motion: women mix, shape and bake tortillas almost nonstop. The result is corn tortillas, flour tortillas (with or without lard), corn chips and tostados.
>The produce section of the store in this Los Angeles suburb has some 600 items, including a grand assortment of chili peppers, from the brings-tears-to-your eyes chipotle to the gentler poblano. There are mounds of grassy green cilantro, tomatillos rustling in their papery brown covers and a rainbow of dried beans, frijoles in 100-pound bags, the herb epazote and piloncillo, the tan cone of Mexican sugar. There is lemon grass to use in tea, and star anise for syrups. Customers can also choose from 18 flavors of chorizo, seven varieties of salsa and 20 types of Mexican cheese.
>What there is not much of is frozen food: frozen items account for only 2 percent of sales and half of that is ice cream. There are more canned products, but few cake mixes. The people who shop at Tianguis cook from scratch. The labels, like the signs and the workers in the store, are bilingual. So are the announcements on the public address system.
>Throw in a mariachi band and it is clear why this Tianguis (pronounced tee-AN-geese), one of eight in Los Angeles County, has a loyal following among Hispanic residents, who make up 95 percent of the stores' shoppers. Even the name hints at why this is so: Tianguis is a shortened adaptation of tianquiztli, the Aztec word for marketplace, and in Mexican culture, the marketplace is not just for shopping, but for meeting friends. But the stores also draw non-Hispanic shoppers who are attracted by the assortment of fresh produce, or by the chance to try new foods.

>> No.20181517

>>20181511
Ultimately Tianguis failed because only older first generation Hispanic immigrants made traditional Hispanic food a big part of their diet. Everyone else mostly changed over the the Standard American Diet, with a TexMex flair. Mainstream grocery stores everywhere and niche markets in Hispanic neighborhoods sell enough Americanized (USA) Hispanic foods that specialty stores are obsolete in most areas without a large first generation Hispanic immigrant population.
So we all are increasingly eating food with a Hispanic influence on it but Hispanics are also rapidly adopting most of the mainstream SAD foods.

Every city should have a Buford Highway Farmers Market type megamart that caters to everything non-SAD. The problem with many of the smaller ethnic markets is that they're poorly run and often have old product. A megamart like Buford does so much volume that even Nigerian Coca-Cola is frequently purchased.

HOW DO I MAKE IT TASTE THE SAME? Is msg the secret?
There’s something specific about shitty fast food that I just can’t seem to nail at home.
Also, what kind of cheese is the most similar to mcnaldos?
Standard Kraft American doesn’t hit the same.
Honestly if anyone has worked at mcnaldos and could advise, that would be awesome.
I am not opposed to cooking at home, that’s what I do literally every day.
I’m interested in replicating the taste of fast food and have no qualms actually cooking.

wendys $5 biggie bag is the only slop I go for anymore, the location near me lets me upsize the drink and fries to a large for like .60 extra. Thats 1100 calories for $6 which isnt the worst thing. only problem is the value decreases if you're in a bingy mood and want two of em since you're paying for a second drink.

only works some locations the other ones with a stick up their ass will tell you it only comes in 'value size' (a drink cup the size of teacup and a fry holder that holds like 20 fries max)
