And I want some sort of tray to help prevent stains to my sheets. I would like a plastic one. Got any good suggestions?

>> No.20147962

I do this too. I just take my robe and flip it over and use that to cover my lap, then shake it off outside. Keeps my sheets clean.

What kind of robe to you use? A bathrobe? I typically eat on my side, sitting like that and eating seems awkward

2 sausages, 2 hot dogs, and a hunk of cheese, maybe Gouda, I forgot. I left them under the broiler a little bit longer than I normally would have, but it crisped up the casing really nicely

Yeah, just my bathrobe. I just sit on the edge of the bed and cover my lap with it. Got my tablet off to the side to watch youtube with while I eat, and a cup of water that even if a little spills the robe is thick enough to absorb it just fine. I used to eat in my recliner but when I got a new leather one it's too nice to spill food on so I moved over to the bed. I eat pretty fast so sitting upright for 10 minutes isn't a big deal. If I eat something really messy like tacos I sit on the floor and use the footrest as a table.

As long as your carpet's clean it's fine I feel. I take my pants off first, more so I don't spill anything on them, and just vacuum up the crumbs later. I have a little couch pillow I use to sit on too so it's more comfortable.

OP here, anyone got a recommendation for a folding tray for someone that weighs a little over 500 pounds?
To be more specific, I actually weigh 972 pounds. I'm tired of putting 14 or 15 trays on my belly and seeing a couple of them spill their contents onto my bed
I haven't cleaned my bed in 19 years, and I want to prevent it from smelling even worse than it already does

I'm technically not "alone" since I'm tall and pretty trim and still have hair, so young girls like me plenty. I just can't keep up with them anymore so they get bored fairly quickly. I made plans to meet with a 22 year old senior tonight, but I can't hack it. I'm too tired. I've spent all day drinking hot toddies and writing. I started during covid, so there's no cohort to speak of plus I'm older than the usual PhD student anyway. Covid wiped us out and the only reason I'm here is for some job security.

I eat in bed. It's a bit of a bad habit but whatever I do it often enough. I had a really messy girlfriend once and I took a big piece of cardboard and cut a girlfriend-sized-hole about 200 degree around her. I called it her "tray" as part of a shaming mechanism to stop her from being a messy eater. It kind of worked shaming her, but it also worked keeping things clean. We had crazy monkey sex and loved/hated each other every day. Probably fucked 5 times a day for a year despite us both having full time jobs. As you can imagine it didn't work out.

I still do miss her sometimes

they are for sick, dying, and old people. or all 3. my mom used one for a while, you can not cut shit on it without it moving all over preventing the cutting, but as long as your stuff is prepared to eat like pre-cut or a sandwich or something it's fine. they do break though. also you can get one with white top so you can write little notes on them with erasable markers
