>form 1/3 pound patties from 80/20 beef
>season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (3-1-1) right before cooking
>grill medium-rare, flipping once
>serve on toasted bun of choice, with desired toppings and condiments
The only real rules about toppings and condiments is that toppings go ON TOP of the patty and cheese (if using), and the only thing on the bottom bun should be a fat based condiment. After that, pretty much anything goes, but for a "classic" burger, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles are essential.

I'm not even her, but using a "fat based confident" (no idea why she didn't just fucking say 'mayonnaise') will prevent a soggy bottom bun, actually, by creating a fat barrier water-based liquids, like meat juices or tomato run-off, can't penetrate. Cheese on the bottom of the burger, against the bread, is objectively the best thing you can do. 70:30 beef to pork mince fresh from the local butcher, coarsely ground twice, about 100g per patty
Salt & pepper
Dried oregano
1-2 cloves crushed garlic
Chili flakes
a drop of extra virgin olive oil
a tsp to heavy pinch white flour, depending on quantity of mince
equal amount water to flour
Mix in a bowl, measure patties out in balls on scale and either press them by hand if I'm grilling, or press them onto a heated steel pan. Sear on both sides and add a slice of aged white cheddar just before finishing.
Toast buns, give guests options of mayo, ketchup, yellow mustard & dijon mustard as condiments, they can dress the bun with salad, pickled peppers, onions and tomato.
If I have to make burgers for my wife's bugmen friends I do 80g of cheapo packaged mince per patty, no seasoning besides salt, pepper & paprika and let them sort their own toppings out.

You not being able to recognize every one of those points as specific to contemporary American politics is the only thing that's been said that really makes it unclear if there's a non-American in this discussion. Other than the student lunches and book bans (done by the GOP presidential frontrunner if Trump were to have a heart attack tomorrow, btw), that entire list is basically the last administration's education policy. Literally spend 5 minutes reading about Betsy Devos. She probably did more (or at least tried to do more) to affect public education in the country than any other secretary of education. You may not think educations isn't a national party issue, but the republican party absolutely does.

The fact that you seem to think the US Department of Education has anything to do with education or that the US is even structured that way, belies your utter foreignness.

Fun fact: the US DOE was created as a civil rights enforcement agency. It has nothing really to do with education policy and in fact education metrics have gone down consistently since it's creation. Education is a state and local issue. Always has been. The fact that you don't know this is unsurprising, since you aren't American and thus you see everything through a centralized, authoritarian, bureaucratic lens.

You're also conflating descriptive with prescriptive, and for some reason don't understand that civil rights means largely means equal access and opportunity, and if you're denying access to 90% of the population that is absolutely an issue with education.
