Apps require accounts and never have guest options.
I can use a website through a VPN with cookies and trackers all disabled and in incognito mode to wipe any other traces when I'm done, and I can just click "check-out as guest" and never make an account so I don't get bombarded with spam. Much better experience overall.

I don't know, but I'm very happy with my local Dominos, their service, quality, and their App. It is just one location, I realize, but,it's so quick and cheap, it's hard not to do some pizza special from time to time. It's literally always perfect and ready when I get there, and the app gives me the updates on my phone as I drfive there, "Kevin put your pizza in the oven" etc.

the only Pizza Hut near me closed their dining room because of covid and still hasn't reopened it 4 year later. They tried to pivot into a pure takeaway/delivery business while still owning a huge physical footprint and jacked their prices up to match. I genuinely don't know how they still exist

The company is phasing out its dine in options in favor of just doing delco stores. Theyre even cutting the delivery drivers and using doordash as a third party delivery middleman. The customers hate it because when the illegal immigrant doordasher fucks up the delivery they call the store expecting compensation, and i have to tell them every time its out of the stores hands since i am forced to use doordash since we have no drivers.

Yeah I work as a driver for a different chain and we've got the same thing going on. My biggest concern was that people would start tipping less because they assume "eh fuck it, it's just gonna be doordash anyway" but that hasn't been the case surprisingly.
It does suck having to fix doordash's mistakes but I also enjoy it on some level, knowing the customer is probably relieved to see an actual company driver instead of Rajesh Supravashta or whatever the fuck
at the moment I'm the ONLY driver my location even has, which has its own host of benefits, but I can definitely forsee a future where most chains just decide to cut all drivers and eat the cost of customer complaints
