You now remember this image and only just a decade ago that McDonald’s stopped using it for their burgers. This should have killed them as a company

Wtf what do you mean?wchih part of the burger?

>> No.20061187

It didn't kill them because no one was under the delusion that they served anything other than gross overprocessed shit. Some people are horrified when they see how the sausage is made. People who like sausage ignore it, and enjoy their sausage.

There's an area in one of the Digital Devil Saga games where you go through a factory with the red slime. Also Fallout. It's natural. It's fine. It's fine.

Did you get fired from mc dicks for being a terrible cashier? Or did you try to open a rival restaurant and it failed because of a mcdonald's down the block? Why so much hate for something you can choose to not participate in?

Is it just me or is McD's literally in a league of it's own in terms of processing their food and using as much artificial sweeteners, flavors and fillers as they can?

Wendy's, Arby's BK and Checkers all serve food that for the most part taste like normal burgers and fries, McD's food is like a simulacrum of what it's supposed to be

>> No.20062645

there's supposedly been a demand for fast food to increase in quality, stop microwaving and freezing shit etc, but now fast food is like $20 for a full meal, and even doing some gay shit like ordering 10 mcchickens on mcchicken day isn't cheap anymore

This seems like a childish thing to be concerned about. It's functionally the same as turning rice into rice flour, what's wrong with turning meat into smooth paste? I get that at this stage it doesn't look as appetizing as a whole seared steak, but ffs it's all gonna be chewed up in your nasty mouth all the same. You're lying if you tell me you've never eaten a hot dog.

It's cool to bash fast food joints, and Supersize Me had made people hypercritical of McDicks in particular. It's only a problem if you're a midwit.

Of course everyone now realizes that Spurlock was a tabloid hack and "pink slime" is not as scandalous as it seemed, but we're better off living in a world where fast food stores disclose ingredients and nutritional analysis, and if McHysteria helped push us in that direction, maybe it wasn't so bad in the end.

>we're better off living in a world where fast food stores disclose ingredients and nutritional analysis
Yup.
Now it's a lot easier to figure out which food items have the most calories for the lowest price.

I find it funny that fast food is held to a higher standard than normal restaurants in terms of nutrition and H&S, yet people act like they are uniquely bad. Like, go to a steakhouse and you'll be lucky if they even list what they used to season the steaks with. Meanwhile McDs has to break it down onto a chemical level. Their trash is probably healthier than what you'd get a mum & pop diner.

It makes sense, McDonalds feeds more people daily than probably any other restaurant, so it's nice to see some responsibility, especially considering the ongoing "race to the bottom" in food quality.

And in return they get to claim to be more health-conscious when in reality only 1% of customers will ever read the details. Somebody did the math and it was an easy win before zoomers started caring more about Grimace Shakes and Kermit Frog Meals.
