I know he's turned into quite the meme because of Knorr advertising, but they actually aren't all that bad at all. I followed a few of his videos that use them and they all came out good.

Yeah the bullion trick is genuinely great for a home cook.

I feel like my knorr is always too thick or too much. How do you ensure it goes on properly?

The problem with knorr is that everything you make with it tastes like knorr

You can use a little Knorr, or a lot of Knorr. It's your choice.

He may be shilling stock cubes, but the average home cook is going to cook with stock cubes.

Marco Pierre White is my culinary hero
I don't know why he uses such a thin knife but I want to do it now

the meme isn't that knorr is bad. the quality of the product is not actually relevant.

he gets memed on because when he was still relevant he was extremely vocal about his disdain for sellouts. and now the only thing he's remembered for is selling out.

Misinterpreted as selling out by idiots and elitists

i'm curious to know exactly what definition of sellout you have that would exclude using your good name to hawk grocery store bullion cubes, but whatever it is it's wrong so i don't care.

Because it also massively improved the cooking of millions of home cooks - do you realize how incredibly underseasoned british food is? For the first time they can now make their boiled meats taste not-awful. Contrast this act of selfless service with, say, selling out by putting your name on a line of flavorless TV dinners.

Selling out is when you compromise your principles for the money

>> No.20040877

>>20040860
exactly this. selling out for a chef would be shilling garbage like hot pockets or boxed frozen meals

>> No.20040882

>>20040877
but marco's principle was completely against shilling. he hated the idea with a passion.

Go watch his Knorr recipe videos
Yeah maybe his pasta recipes are a bit ridiculous, I wouldn't know I've never tried using stock pots in that way, but his videos are all about inspiring his audience who might not have the time or skill to prepare anything better
He wants them to think that they can cook and to gain confidence

knorr pasta sides slap desu
