can you guys recommend a decent mid-price gin, maybe $50-70 a bottle? I mainly make negronis.
I've tried the common stuff like bombay, tanq, beef, etc. they were meh. the best I found so far was Old Raj.
Needs to be widely available too if i'm going to be able to purchase it.

>>19970744
a lot of younger bartenders legitimately don't know the difference between soda water and tonic, and if you ask for tonic they hit you up with 7 or sprite because that's the only other option on the gun that isn't soda water.

Yep. I don't recall getting Sprite instead of tonic water before, but I ordered a gin and tonic from a young bartender and got a gin and soda. I guess that's a valid cocktail in its own right, but I didn't like the taste.

How do I know if I'm drinking too much bros? 29 and I've never had a problem with alcohol but I recently stepped into a new position at work and have been a lot more stressed. One week last month I had like four shots every night for all seven days of the week and still felt fine in the mornings. I got scared because I felt great even while drinking that much, so now I only drink on Fridays and Saturdays, but never get too wasted. The problem is I am starting to crave it when I'm not drinking. Still have the discipline to stick with Fridays and Saturdays but I'm worried I might start to slip. How can I effectively keep my drinking to a healthy minimum and not crave it as much as I do? Picrel and fever tree tonic water is my go to.

That's not much but it could always develop into more if you let it. Don't worry, it takes quite a bit over time, just stop, decide how much you want to drink and why and stick to that.
I have been drinking a lot more than that for the last month, for reasons, and I haven't had any in 3 days and I don't have withdrawal or anything.
